Olympic basketball
Team USA
Basketball joined the Olympics in 1936 and the women's tournament followed in 1976. The United States has won more Olympic basketball gold medals than any other country — but not without famous setbacks, from the disputed 1972 final to the bronze medals of 1988 and 2004.
