How to play

Each day brings five multiple-choice questions about American basketball history: who won a championship, or who took home one of the NBA's season awards. Pick an answer and the game moves on — there are no second chances, so think before you tap. After the fifth question you'll see your score, the correct answers and a link to the full list for each one.

Everyone gets the same five questions on the same day, so you can compare scores with friends. The share button copies a spoiler-free grid: 🟧 for a correct answer, ⬛ for a miss. A new set appears at midnight in your time zone.

Where the questions come from

Questions are generated from the records in our history section — NBA champions since 1947, NCAA tournament winners since 1939, WNBA champions since 1997 and the NBA's MVP, Finals MVP, Rookie of the Year, Defensive Player, Sixth Man and Most Improved awards. Wrong options are drawn from nearby seasons, so you can't simply rule out a team that didn't exist yet.
