How to play

You get five moments from basketball history — a franchise winning its first title, a player collecting his first MVP, a college program cutting down the nets for the first time. Use the arrows to put them in order, with the oldest at the top. When you're happy, check your answer: each moment shows its year, and the ones you placed correctly are highlighted.

The first round each day is the daily puzzle, the same for every player, and you can share a spoiler-free result. After that, keep playing with fresh sets of moments as long as you like.

Tips

• The five moments are always at least three years apart, so there are no ties.
• Think in eras: the Russell-era Celtics, the Showtime Lakers, the Jordan years, the Warriors' run.
