How years are counted

  • NBA and ABA: a season spans two calendar years; we list it under the year it ended (the 1997–98 season appears under 1998).
  • WNBA: seasons run within one calendar year, from spring to autumn.
  • NCAA: the year of the March–April tournament.

Only records we can trace to a source appear here and on the card. "No record in our data" means a gap in our data, not that nothing happened. Full lists are in the history section; the card is drawn in your browser and is not stored anywhere.
